Katka is located at the south-east corner of the Sundarbans and is one of the attractive notable spots of the Sundarbans. Katka is about 90 kilometres to the south of the Mongla Sea Port and is the main centre of the sanctuaries of the Sundarbans. There is a rest house for the tourists there. After getting down from the launch, one can walk along the wooden wharf for sometime and can reach the rest house. There is vast water on one side and on the other side there is a large forest which attracts the tourists very easily. There are innumerable canals nearby the Katka and boat trip along the canals is very pleasant. On both the banks of the canals, there is prowling of wild animals. The fearless roam of the wild animals can be viewed from the Jamtola Observation Tower.
