Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Memorial Library and Museum

Birshreshtha martyr Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir was born on 7th March in 1949 at Rahimpur village of Agarpur union (now Jahangirnagar union) under Babuganj upazila of Barishal district. During the liberation war he was working in the 173 Engineer batellion in West Pakistan in 1971. He was killed in action at Chapai Nawabganj distrct on 14th December of 1971. Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir Memorial Library and Museum was built at Jahangirnagar union of Babuganj upazila in 2008 and was inaugurated on 21st May of the same year. At that time the Agrapur union was renamed as ‘Birshreshtha Jagnagirnagar Union’. Many tourists visit this place everyday.
