Alamdanga Rail Station

This Rail Station was used as an indigo factory during the British Colonial Rule. The indigo planters used the upper floor of the building as their living floor and the ground floor was used as the lock-up for the peasants who refused to cultivate indigo plants were tortured in this ground floor. The rail station still survives as a witness of the torture of the British rule.
