Nazrul’s Memory-laden Mission Para

Our National poet Kazi Nazrul Islam’s memory laden Mission Para lies at Kapasdanga village in Damurhuda upazilas on the bank of the Bhairab River about 10 kilometres to the north-west from the district town of Chuadanga district. Poet Nazrul Islam stayed with his family in an eight-roofed house in the garden house of Harsapria Bishwas, an inhabitant of Mission Para of the same village. At that time the poet’s mother-in-law Giri Bala, wife Pramila and two sons Kazi Sabyasachi and Kazi Bulbul were with him. Right at that place, he wrote a song ‘Kon kule aj bhirlo tori’ a poem: Kolsi gelo dube’; short story: ‘Paddoghokra’; novel: ‘Mrittu Khuda’ etc. In the village there are more than a hundred years old  tamarisk trees and deodar tree, brick-built landing stairs on the river bank, indigo factories and Catholic Missions in the village.
