Lama Pahar (Hill) Buddha Vihara

Lama Pahar Buddhu Vihara which was built in artistic designs in 1800 by the craftsmen of Myanmar in the Union of Fate-Kharkul of Ramu upazila is a unique Buddhist establishment in the country. The Buddha statue made of a mixture of eight metals seated in Padmasan (a particular posture of yogic sitting) at a height of 22 ft. lies here. The Buddha Vihara made of valuable and rare wood has created interest in the tourists home and abroad. By the side of the Vihara there are two big bells weighing 3900 kilograms.
