Madhabkundo Waterfall

The Madhabkundo waterfall, the biggest waterfall of the country is located in Baralekha upzila which is 70 kilometres from Sunamganj and 72 kilometres from Moulvibazar. Its height is 162 ft.  The waterfall from 272 ft high-hill falls with continuous flows down. There are flowing fountains (locally called `Chhara’) throughout the extensive area of the hill. The higher portion of it is called Gangamara and the lower portion is called Madhabchhara. Water rolls down steeply below from Madhabchhara on Gangamara. By the force of the rolling water, a deep hole has been created. By the initiatives of Bangladesh Tourism Corporation, picnic spots, restaurants and parking facilities have been introduced near the waterfall. As this area is one of the attractive tourist spots in Bangladesh, every day innumerable tourists visit this site.
