01. Sonapur Catholic Mission

 Sonapur Catholic Mission is located at Maizdi. Extensive betel-nut trees on either side of the red color-road have created exquisite and outstanding beauty.  In front of the church lie a lovely garden and by one side of the church a big bell. And there are two ponds of medium size close to it. As an ancient achievement as has its tourism value, so have the Christians feelings and special adoration for it.

         02. Gandhi Ashram (asylum/ refuge)

The Gandhi Ashram is located in the village Jayag under Chatkhil Upazila 15 kilometers away from Chaumuhani town of Noakhali District. Towards the end of the British rule 1946-47, Mahatma Gandhi came to this place. And to commemorate his arrival, Gandhi Ashram Trust was established. The helpless men and women irrespective of cast and creed get shelter in this Ashram. Before entering the Ashram, the sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi will come into sight. The spinning wheel and other useable articles of Mahatma Gandhi are preserved here.

03. Bajra Shahi Masjid (mosque)

This historical mosque stands in the village Bajra about 9 kilometers away on the north from Chaumuhani and at a little distance on the north-west from Bajra Rail Station under Begumganj Upazila. Mogul sculpture styles are seen in this mosque. From the stone inscriptions of the mosque, it is learnt that during the rule of Emperor Mohammed Shah, a man of the name of Amanullah brought expert sculptors and engineers from Delhi and founded this mosque in 1741 at a cost of a big amount of money. On the east side of the mosque there are 3 entrances, and on the north and the south sides one entrance each and there are four octagonal minarets in four corners. On the west wall of the mosque there are three ornamented Mehrabs and on the top there are three beautiful domes. Recently with the pieces of broken porcelain ornamental works have been done in the mosque and the domes.

 04. Nijhum Dwip (island)

Nijhum Dwip with its area of 40 square miles is a natural pleasure ground of boundless beauty. This island is situated in the estuary of the river Meghna about 60 miles away on the south from Hatiya Island of Noakhali District on the bosom of the Bay of Bengal.

This island has fascinating and wonderful splendor of the green, here one can enjoy the sea waves that dash against the south seashore and the sunrise and the sunset view. The mangrove forest, the extensive seashore, the notes of sea birds, the roam of deer, monkeys, and cows-buffaloes attract the attention of the tourists.

05. Jaganath Mandir (temple)

To commemorate Jagnnath Sen, the Kali Murti and the temple were built. The remarkable characteristic of Kali Murti is that it can radiate light in darkness from the stones set in the hollows of its eyes.

06. Ashram of Ram Tagore

The colossal Pancharatana Mandir (temple), Rammandir, and the tomb of Ramtagore are in the burial Ashram of Ramtagore in Chaumuhani.

07. Local Traditions and Festivals

A mela (fair) takes place in the Ashram of Sree Ramtagore on the third Baishak.
