Sultanpur Shahi Mosque

This one-dome mosque stands on Sultanpur area on the north-south of the timber storehouse on the field of PTI in Satkhira town. The mosque having the measure of 5 metres x 5 metres was made purely of brick and brick-dust, and the walls are 1.15 metres wide. Every side except the west, there is one arch gate on each side. Besides these, there is a tunnel at every corner and there are three meharab (niche) on the west wall inside. It is guessed that the mosque was built during the Period of Sultans and later on during the Mughal Period the old mosque was dismantled and it was rebuilt.
